This book was so slow. I cannot remember who recommended it, but it was boring. Nothing really exciting happens. It was a struggle to finish this. I must’ve missed something again I found it extremely dull, it took me days to finish and I was quite happy to put it down so I could clean the oven and read six other books in the meantime because I was bored out of my mind with it.
This was another book from one of those stupid ‘best book EVER!!!
The story was hit and miss for me. Unfortunately, it also lacked the tension that propels most crime novels forward. It was slow and plodding which made it seem like a chore to read. I wished there had been more balance in the drifting narrative with the story of the actual crime itself to help make the novel more palatable.
The reviews may have been “right”, but I didn’t care for it. Not everyone will, I’m sure. I got long past my page limit.
But when I find I really just the protagonist to shut up or find some courage or something, that’s when I know I’m done. No point in reading it if you’re not enjoying it. Decent Read The book isn’t anything like the movie, which I suppose is only slightly based on this book. Kind of a slow read which left out some of the excitement of the story which is what I was hoping fduardo.
The characters were built up really well and were my favorite part of this read. I finally had to give up Not sure why but I just couldn’t get through this book. I went back to it several times hoping it would suck me in, never did.
